Dubai secured 754 new investment projects in the creative sector, retaining its ranking as the world’s top destination for cultural and creative industry FDI projects for the fourth year in a row.
Investment covered a wide range of activities, including advertising, public relations, digital programming, film production, electronic gaming, creative technology, education, architecture and design.

UAE's Cinema and Gaming Industries Expand
The UAE's entertainment and digital gaming sectors are contributing to the expansion of the country's creative economy.
Cinema box-office revenue exceeded AED734 million in 2025, with more than 14.8 million tickets sold across approximately 1,270 films, according to the National Media Authority.
The digital gaming market also recorded substantial activity, generating AED2.7 billion in revenue.The number of games assessed and classified rose to 552, up from 375 in 2024.

Publishing Market Forecast to Grow by 2030

On the first day of the event, book sales value climbed by 97%, the volume of books sold surged by 108%, and visitor attendance increased by 11% compared with the same period in 2025.
Meanwhile, Menassah Distribution presented 1,004 titles from 75 UAE-based publishers, representing approximately 8,500 books.
In 2025, the National Media Authority granted over 100,000 permits for distributing books and publications and handled nearly 1.2 million titles brought into the UAE.
Dubai Design Strategy Sets Ambitious 2033 Targets
Dubai is enhancing its global standing in the design sector through the Dubai Design Sector Strategy 2033, which focuses on areas such as fashion, product development, architecture and graphic design.
The initiative targets a 20% rise in participation in university-level education and ongoing professional design training, opening up opportunities for over 25,000 students.
Additional targets include supporting approximately 500 existing projects, incubating more than 100 new ventures and showcasing over 500 local projects at international exhibitions and events.
The initiative aims to organise over 100 events and draw four million visitors from the UAE and abroad by 2033.
