Ajman Chamber Plans New Initiatives for 2027 to Improve Business Services and Investment Climate

Strategic planning focuses on digital transformation, AI adoption, reduced bureaucracy and support for small businesses under Ajman Vision 2030

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has begun planning its projects and initiatives for 2027, with a focus on improving business services, strengthening the emirate’s economic competitiveness and creating a more supportive environment for investors and entrepreneurs.

The plans were discussed during a strategic retreat held at Ajman Saray Hotel on 14 October 2026. The meeting brought together Chamber employees to identify priorities for the coming year and ensure that proposed initiatives align with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030.

The discussions centred on making business procedures simpler, reducing administrative delays and developing services that respond more effectively to the needs of companies and the wider business community.

Ajman Chamber Reviews Opportunities to Improve Services

Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, highlighted the importance of reviewing existing services and identifying practical ways to improve their efficiency. He also stressed the need to develop innovative initiatives that reflect changing business requirements and support the emirate’s economic ambitions.

The retreat provided employees with an opportunity to contribute ideas, discuss operational challenges and participate in shaping future projects. According to the Chamber, involving staff in planning and decision-making can help turn proposals into practical improvements across its services.

Faisal Ismail Al Khouri, Director of the Strategy and Future Department, moderated the retreat.

Digital Transformation and AI Among Key Priorities

Participants examined existing services and internal processes to identify opportunities to reduce processing times, simplify procedures and increase automation.

The potential use of artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions was also discussed as part of efforts to improve operational performance and enhance the customer experience.

The proposed initiatives are expected to be assessed according to their potential impact, implementation requirements and alignment with the Chamber’s strategic objectives. Establishing clear performance indicators will help measure progress and evaluate the results of projects introduced during 2027.

Supporting Trade, SMEs and Entrepreneurship

The Chamber’s planning exercise also reaffirmed its wider economic priorities, including improving the business environment, strengthening trade networks and logistics services, and encouraging the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Support for entrepreneurship remains another important area, as smaller businesses play a role in expanding commercial activity and creating new economic opportunities.

For Ajman, improvements in business services and investment facilitation could help strengthen the emirate’s appeal to companies considering expansion or establishing operations there. A more efficient business environment may also support broader economic activity across commercial and industrial sectors.

What the 2027 Plans Could Mean for Ajman

The strategic retreat marks a planning step towards the Chamber’s proposed initiatives for 2027. The focus on service efficiency, automation and business support reflects its intention to modernise operations and respond to the evolving needs of companies operating in Ajman.

The Chamber has discussed a range of proposed projects and performance measures, although specific project details, budgets and implementation timelines were not disclosed in the announcement.

The next phase will depend on how the proposed initiatives are prioritised and implemented, and on the measurable improvements they deliver for businesses and investors across the emirate.
