Royal Development and SAAS Appoint Fibrex for AED790 Million Seamont Project
Main construction contract moves Seamont Autograph Collection Residences on Al Reem Island into full-scale development
Abu Dhabi, UAE – October 6, 2026: Royal Development Holding, together with SAAS Properties, has awarded an AED790 million main construction contract to Fibrex LLC for the development of Seamont Autograph Collection Residences on Al Reem Island.
The appointment marks a major step forward for the waterfront residential project, which has now moved beyond its enabling works stage and into full-scale construction.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with Fibrex expected to deliver the main works under a 27-month construction programme. Completion is targeted for December 2028.
Seamont Autograph Collection Residences is planned as a luxury waterfront development combining contemporary architecture with the hospitality standards associated with Marriott’s Autograph Collection brand.
The project’s design draws inspiration from the surrounding mangrove environment, while its location on Al Reem Island places it within reach of Abu Dhabi’s wider residential, cultural and lifestyle destinations, including the Saadiyat Island cultural district.
The development is intended to offer a distinctive residential environment while contributing to Abu Dhabi’s expanding market for branded and luxury residences.
Fibrex brings extensive construction experience
Fibrex, which has operated in the UAE since 1972, will be responsible for executing the project's principal construction works.
The contractor has more than five decades of experience across the UAE and wider MENA region and employs more than 17,000 people. Its portfolio spans residential and hospitality developments as well as healthcare, education, infrastructure, aviation, commercial and retail projects.
The company said its technical resources and construction capabilities will support the delivery of Seamont as it enters its main construction phase.
Tariq Nazzal, CEO of Royal Development Holding, said the contract award represents an important milestone for the project and reflects the developer’s focus on working with experienced construction specialists.
He added that the partnership with SAAS Properties is aimed at delivering a project centred on design quality, execution standards and long-term value.
Focus on quality and timely delivery
Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, CEO of SAAS Properties, said selecting an experienced construction partner was an important part of maintaining the project's quality and delivery objectives.
He said SAAS and Royal Development Holding share a common vision for Seamont and believe Fibrex has the expertise required to execute the development to the expected standards.
Sufyan Saleh, Managing Director of Fibrex LLC, said the company would bring its technical experience and construction capabilities to the project, with an emphasis on quality, precision and disciplined execution.
Seamont adds to Abu Dhabi’s branded-residence pipeline
The project forms part of Royal Development Holding’s broader strategy of developing premium and branded residential destinations in the UAE.
The company is a subsidiary of Emirates Stallions Group, which is part of International Holding Company. Royal Development Holding operates across several areas of the real estate sector, including development management, hospitality development, investment property management and sales and marketing.
SAAS Properties, meanwhile, has a portfolio covering residential, commercial and retail developments and has positioned itself within Abu Dhabi’s luxury property market.
With construction now moving into its main phase, Seamont Autograph Collection Residences is expected to become another addition to the growing pipeline of high-end waterfront and branded residential projects across Abu Dhabi.
