The UAE's technology landscape is continuing to expand, with locally developed artificial intelligence and data technologies playing a growing role in the country's digital transformation.
Vikraman Poduval, CEO of Abu Dhabi-based Saal.ai, said the company is focused on creating locally developed technology solutions that support the UAE’s AI ambitions and reinforce its growing role in the global artificial intelligence landscape.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during AI Everything Abu Dhabi 2026, Poduval highlighted the event's role in bringing technology companies together with customers, industry stakeholders and potential partners.
Saal.ai showcases locally developed AI solutions
At the event, Saal.ai is presenting technologies developed in the UAE covering big data and agentic AI.
The company's showcase includes an integrated big-data platform designed to help organisations prepare and manage customer data, alongside another platform aimed at helping businesses develop AI agents capable of delivering practical commercial value.
According to Poduval, these technologies reflect the company's focus on building solutions that address the evolving requirements of businesses in the UAE and wider markets.
Local talent key to UAE's technology ambitions
Poduval also emphasised the importance of developing domestic expertise and making greater use of local technology talent.
He said strengthening local capabilities can help create a more self-sufficient technology ecosystem, enabling the UAE to develop solutions that respond to its growing digital and artificial intelligence requirements.
The comments come as Abu Dhabi continues to attract technology companies, innovation initiatives and AI-focused investment, supporting the emirate's wider efforts to establish itself as a major global centre for advanced technologies.
