Ajman Targets Central Asian Tourism Markets Through Roadshow in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media is seeking new international partnerships through promotional events in Tashkent and Almaty, supporting the emirate’s efforts to diversify visitor markets and strengthen tourism growth.

Ajman is stepping up its international tourism promotion by targeting Central Asia through a series of industry engagement events scheduled in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan from 12 to 16 October 2026.

The initiative, led by the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, includes dedicated promotional events in Tashkent on 13 October and Almaty on 15 October. The programme aims to build stronger relationships with travel industry representatives, identify new business opportunities and increase awareness of Ajman among potential visitors in both markets.

The roadshow forms part of the emirate’s wider strategy to diversify its tourism source markets and expand its international presence through stronger cooperation with overseas travel partners.

Ajman Showcases Its Tourism and Hospitality Offerings

During the Central Asian campaign, the department will promote Ajman’s range of visitor experiences, including cultural attractions, heritage sites, natural landscapes, hospitality offerings, family activities and leisure facilities.

By presenting its varied tourism options to international travel professionals, Ajman aims to appeal to different visitor preferences and strengthen its position as a destination suitable for year-round travel.

The initiative also provides an opportunity to develop commercial relationships with travel companies and other industry stakeholders who can help introduce Ajman to new customer segments.

Central Asia Becomes a Focus for Market Diversification

HE Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, highlighted the importance of promotional roadshows in developing lasting relationships with international travel and tourism partners.

He said the visits to Tashkent and Almaty are intended to deepen cooperation with the travel trade, identify potential partnerships and introduce more international audiences to the emirate’s tourism experiences.

Alhashmi also described Central Asia as an important opportunity within Ajman’s broader market diversification plans. According to the department, building direct relationships with partners in these markets is expected to support visitor growth, broaden the emirate’s international reach and improve the competitiveness of its tourism industry.

Building on Ajman’s International Tourism Campaigns

The Central Asia roadshow follows promotional initiatives undertaken by the department across Europe, India and China.

These initiatives demonstrate Ajman’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its global connections, building business partnerships and raising its profile among international travellers.

Expanding into new tourism markets could also benefit the emirate’s hospitality sector, including hotels, leisure operators and travel service providers.

The latest roadshow highlights Ajman’s strategy of reaching new international audiences and diversifying its visitor base to enhance its standing as a tourism destination within the UAE.
