Sharjah Investment Forum 2026 to Bring Together Global Investors and Business Leaders
The two-day event will welcome participants from more than 60 countries to discuss investment opportunities, artificial intelligence, economic resilience and future growth.
Sharjah is preparing to host the ninth edition of the Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF 2026), bringing together international investors, government representatives, entrepreneurs and business leaders to explore new opportunities for economic development.
Scheduled to take place on Wednesday and Thursday at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, the event is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants from over 60 countries. The forum will focus on strategies for strengthening economic competitiveness, attracting investment and adapting to changing global market conditions.
Organised by the Sharjah FDI Office, Invest in Sharjah, in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Investment, this year's forum will operate under the theme “Building Adaptive Economies”.
The programme will feature more than 80 speakers and over 140 activities, including 80 direct business meetings intended to connect investors with companies, policymakers and potential partners.
Government Officials and Business Leaders to Address the Forum
SIF 2026 will bring together prominent figures from government, business and technology to discuss investment priorities and the future of economic growth.
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
Mohamed Alabbar, founder and managing director of Emaar Properties, founder and director of Noon.com, and chairman of Eagle Hills and Americana Group, will participate in a fireside discussion with entrepreneur and radio host Kris Fade. Their conversation will explore business leadership, investment decisions and strategies for growth in a changing economic environment.
Other speakers include Mohammad Abdulrahman Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment; Fahad Al Gergawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade; and Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
Their participation is expected to bring perspectives on investment policy, international trade, environmental priorities and economic competitiveness.
Artificial Intelligence and Technology Among Key Themes
The forum will examine four major areas: regulatory competitiveness and economic adaptability; artificial intelligence, technology and industrial transformation; investment flows and supply-chain resilience; and future living and economic growth.
Discussions on AI and technological development will explore how emerging tools, including agentic artificial intelligence, could influence industrial operations, public services and investment decisions.
The programme will also consider how governments and businesses can respond to economic uncertainty by adapting policies, improving operational efficiency and strengthening their ability to compete internationally.
These discussions place technology and innovation alongside investment policy as important factors in shaping future economic development.
Real Estate and Sustainable Development on the Agenda
Real estate development and sustainable communities will also feature among the subjects addressed at SIF 2026.
Sessions are expected to examine the infrastructure, investment and planning needed to support long-term economic growth. Other topics include food security, agricultural technology, changing consumer preferences and the development of resilient supply chains.
For the UAE property sector, the inclusion of real estate and future communities creates an opportunity to discuss how investment can support urban development, infrastructure and more sustainable living environments.
The forum's wider focus on cross-border capital and trade connectivity also highlights the relationship between investment, logistics, industrial expansion and regional economic growth.
Business Meetings Aim to Encourage New Partnerships
With more than 140 scheduled activities and 80 direct business meetings, the forum is designed to encourage practical connections between investors, companies and government decision-makers.
More than 20 partners and sponsors from the public and private sectors, along with media organisations, are supporting the event. Their areas of activity include economic development, urban planning, real estate, construction, logistics, technology and innovation.
The gathering is intended to create opportunities for participants to exchange expertise, explore commercial partnerships and identify potential investment projects.
Sharjah Seeks to Strengthen Its Investment Appeal
The 2026 edition of the Sharjah Investment Forum comes as governments and businesses continue to assess new approaches to economic resilience, technological adoption and international investment.
By bringing together policymakers, investors and industry specialists, the event aims to encourage collaboration and highlight opportunities across a range of sectors.
The discussions are expected to contribute to wider conversations about how Sharjah and the UAE can attract investment, develop competitive industries and support sustainable long-term growth.
