Dubai Chambers Targets 14,000 Companies in New Agentic AI Adoption Drive
Specialised training programmes aim to help businesses integrate AI into daily operations, automate workflows and improve productivity across Dubai's private sector.
Dubai Chambers has introduced specialised training programmes designed to help 14,000 companies adopt agentic artificial intelligence (AI), as Dubai accelerates its efforts to strengthen technological innovation and business competitiveness.
The initiative aims to support companies in applying AI across administrative and operational activities, helping them improve efficiency, make better-informed decisions and identify opportunities to streamline existing processes.
The programme forms part of Dubai's wider strategy to expand the use of agentic AI across the private sector. It was launched under the direction of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
According to Dubai Chambers, the training will help businesses move beyond using data simply to generate information and explore how AI-powered systems can support decision-making and everyday business activities.
Training to Help Businesses Implement Agentic AI
The training programmes will cover the fundamentals of agentic AI, its practical business applications, available tools and recommended approaches for integrating the technology into workplace processes.
Agentic AI refers to systems capable of carrying out tasks and coordinating multiple steps towards a defined objective, with varying levels of human supervision. In business environments, these systems can support activities such as workflow management, data handling and customer service.
Dubai Chambers expects the initiative to help companies improve productivity and customer experience while allowing employees to dedicate more time to strategic responsibilities, innovation and other higher-value activities.
Business representatives have welcomed the programme, highlighting the importance of developing practical knowledge before investing in and implementing emerging technologies.
Business Leaders Emphasise Skills and Readiness
Milenko Bujandric, Chairman of the Serbian Business Council, highlighted the potential for agentic AI to help businesses deliver services more efficiently and improve operational standards. He also stressed the need for companies to understand where the technology can be applied and whether the expected benefits justify the investment.
Evelien Johnston, Board Member of the New Zealand Business Council, emphasised employee participation in the adoption process. Building awareness and technical understanding among staff, she noted, will be important to integrating AI successfully into business operations.
Shashi Shekhar, Chairman of the Supply Chain and Logistics Business Group, also identified training as an important starting point for wider implementation, particularly in improving productivity and service quality.
Their comments underline a central challenge for businesses: adopting AI involves not only selecting suitable tools but also preparing employees and assessing how the technology fits existing operations.
Practical AI Applications Across Different Industries
Business representatives have identified several areas where agentic AI and generative AI could support daily operations, including data management, process automation, customer communication and operational planning.
Dr Palat Krishna Menon, Board Member of the Dubai MedTech Business Group, said his company uses agentic AI and generative AI to assist with preparing standard operating procedures and protocols, maintaining updated information and responding to customer enquiries more quickly.
Dr Mohammed Jawad, Chairman of the Medical Labs and Diagnostics Centres Business Group, said the programme could help companies identify appropriate applications, simplify workflows and automate routine activities.
Omar Khaled Hamaoui, Chairman of the Brazilian Business Council UAE, highlighted the potential of customised AI solutions to improve performance, quality and competitiveness. He also pointed to the opportunity for management teams to review existing procedures and identify areas for improvement.
In the construction sector, Stuart Clarke, Chairman of the Dubai Construction Industry Business Group, highlighted the value of bringing businesses from different industries together to exchange knowledge and learn from their experiences with emerging technologies.
Dubai Chambers Plans Broader Support for AI Businesses
The initiative extends beyond workforce training. Dubai's wider agentic AI programme also includes plans to establish incubators for AI companies, support organisations developing and implementing AI solutions, and encourage knowledge-sharing across the Dubai Chambers network.
These measures are intended to strengthen the ecosystem supporting AI innovation and help businesses explore solutions that meet their operational needs.
Nabeel Saad Alkharabsheh, Chairman of the Postal and Courier Services Business Group, encouraged companies to participate in Dubai Chambers' initiatives to learn about emerging technologies and exchange insights with other industries.
Mohammad Ayyob, Chairman of the Dubai Business Group for Bullion and Gold Refinery, also welcomed the programme and highlighted the importance of knowledge-sharing between the chamber and the wider business community.
AI Adoption Becomes a Business Priority in Dubai
Dubai's initiative reflects the growing emphasis on using artificial intelligence to improve business processes and strengthen private sector competitiveness.
For companies considering agentic AI, the practical benefits will depend on identifying appropriate use cases, training employees, managing implementation risks and ensuring that AI systems work effectively with existing processes.
With a stated target of reaching 14,000 companies, Dubai Chambers is placing workforce development and practical implementation at the centre of its efforts to expand AI adoption across the emirate's business community.
