Ajman Registers 73,472 Rental Contracts Worth AED 2.91 Billion in H1 2026

The emirate recorded nearly AED 2.91 billion in rental contract value during the first six months of 2026, reflecting continued demand for housing and investment.

Ajman recorded 73,472 rental contracts valued at approximately AED 2.91 billion ($792 million) during the first half of 2026, according to the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department.

The figures highlight ongoing activity in the emirate’s residential rental sector, with demand from residents and investors continuing throughout the six-month period.

The municipality said the results align with Ajman’s broader development plans under Ajman Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen the emirate’s business environment and attract investment.

Ajman Rental Market Records Strong Activity

Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, said the emirate’s development is supported by flexible regulations, modern infrastructure and digital public services.

These measures are designed to simplify procedures for residents and businesses while improving quality of life and community wellbeing.

Al Nuaimi also highlighted Ajman’s efforts to meet the needs of residents and investors as part of its wider sustainable development agenda. He said the latest results reflect confidence in the emirate and its efforts to provide a supportive environment for individuals and business owners.

Housing and Investment Demand Remains Steady

Yousef Mohammed Al Sheiba Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Rental Regulation Sector at the department, said the figures indicate continued activity in rental registrations and sustained demand for both housing and investment.

The department is working to improve rental regulation through smart technologies and more advanced systems, with the aim of making services more efficient and accessible.

Ajman Vision 2030 Supports Investment Growth

Ajman Vision 2030 focuses on developing a competitive business environment, encouraging economic growth and strengthening programmes that attract investment.

The rental-contract figures provide an indicator of activity in Ajman’s property market during the first half of 2026. However, the number and value of registered contracts alone do not establish whether rents have increased or decreased.

As Ajman continues to develop its infrastructure and public services, the emirate’s rental sector remains an important part of its wider residential and investment landscape.
