TARAF and Steppe Capital Partner to Launch JW Marriott Residences on Yas Island
Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island will welcome a new branded residential development combining luxury homes, hospitality-inspired services and wellness-focused amenities.
TARAF, the real estate arm of Yas Holding, has partnered with Singapore-based investment firm Steppe Capital to introduce JW Marriott Residences on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The project marks the arrival of the JW Marriott residential brand on the island and expands the emirate’s portfolio of branded luxury homes.
The development is being created in collaboration with Marriott International and is designed to combine private residential living with the service standards and lifestyle concepts associated with the JW Marriott brand.
Yas Island Location Offers Access to Major Attractions
The project will benefit from Yas Island’s established leisure and entertainment infrastructure, including its beaches, golf facilities, waterfront restaurants, Yas Marina, Yas Mall and Yas Marina Circuit.
According to the project announcement, Yas Island is approximately 15 minutes by road from Zayed International Airport and around 30 minutes from central Abu Dhabi.
Its location is expected to appeal to buyers seeking a luxury residential address with access to shopping, dining, recreation and major transport connections.
Wellness and Contemporary Design at the Centre
The residences are planned around themes of nature, wellbeing and contemporary design. Architectural and interior concepts draw inspiration from Abu Dhabi’s landscape, natural light and local heritage, using natural materials and carefully considered details.
Planned amenities include a residents’ lounge, fitness centre, steam and sauna facilities, treatment and relaxation areas, meeting rooms, a golf simulator, games area, media room, children’s activity space and guest suites.
These facilities are intended to support residents’ everyday needs while creating opportunities for relaxation, social interaction and recreation within the development.
TARAF and Marriott Expand Their Partnership
The project represents the second collaboration between TARAF and Marriott International, following W Residences Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island, which the companies described as sold out.
Yas Holding Group CEO Low Ping said the development aims to incorporate JW Marriott’s hospitality philosophy into its architecture, amenities and residential experience.
Marriott International’s regional leadership also highlighted the role of personalised services, curated amenities and wellbeing in extending the brand beyond traditional hotel stays into residential living.
Steppe Capital board member Cem Habib pointed to the combination of Yas Island’s waterfront setting and golf-course surroundings as an important feature of the project.
Branded Residences Add to Abu Dhabi’s Property Market
The JW Marriott Residences announcement adds to Abu Dhabi’s growing range of branded residential developments, where property ownership is combined with hospitality-led services and lifestyle amenities.
Yas Island’s entertainment destinations, waterfront environment and established infrastructure make it an important location for developers targeting luxury homebuyers.
Further details on pricing, unit configurations, launch dates and handover schedules should be confirmed as more project information becomes available.
