Dubai Completes 107 Public Infrastructure Projects Worth Dh1.6 Billion
Dubai Municipality delivers projects across beaches, parks and community facilities as the emirate continues to improve public spaces and neighbourhood infrastructure.
Dubai Municipality has completed more than 107 projects valued at approximately Dh1.6 billion ($435.7 million) in 2026, covering public beaches, parks, landscaping and community facilities.
The projects were delivered through the municipality’s Public Facilities Agency and include improvements at Al Mamzar Beaches, Hewi Dubai in Nad Al Sheba, neighbourhood parks, schools and social Majlis facilities.
The programme also covers rural and countryside areas, alongside wider landscaping, beautification and agricultural initiatives across the emirate.
Beaches and Landscaping Receive Major Investment
Public beach developments accounted for 36% of the total investment, while beautification, landscaping and agricultural projects received 22%, according to the reported figures.
The programme combines new public destinations with improvements to existing facilities, aiming to expand recreational options and create more accessible spaces for residents and visitors.
Dubai Municipality said its approach also considers how public facilities are maintained and operated after construction, with a focus on efficiency, sustainability and the needs of local communities.
Public Facilities Support Growing Communities
In addition to developing recreational spaces, the Public Facilities Agency has supported other government entities with educational, social and community infrastructure.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the agency, said public infrastructure should be assessed not only by the number of completed projects but also by its contribution to residents’ everyday lives and Dubai’s long-term development.
The agency uses community feedback, visitor information and operational data to help guide the design and improvement of its facilities.
More Than 100 Investment Opportunities Created
The agency has also contributed to creating more than 100 investment opportunities across public facilities, including opportunities intended for small and medium-sized enterprises.
These initiatives aim to encourage private-sector participation in commercial and service activities that complement parks, recreational destinations and other public spaces.
The approach is intended to broaden the economic contribution of public facilities while improving services and visitor experiences.
Supporting Dubai’s Long-Term Urban Development
The programme aligns with wider government objectives, including the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
For the property sector, continued investment in public amenities and community infrastructure is relevant because accessible recreational spaces and improved neighbourhood facilities can contribute to an area's appeal to residents and prospective buyers.
However, the reported project expenditure does not establish a direct increase in property prices or rental values.
Dubai Municipality has indicated that further projects and investment opportunities will continue to be developed to serve the emirate’s expanding communities.
