CertiK Expands Its UAE Presence Through New Crypto Security Partnerships
Dubai and Abu Dhabi initiatives aim to strengthen blockchain security, regulatory compliance and protection for digital-asset businesses
Blockchain security company CertiK is increasing its presence in the UAE through partnerships with local digital-asset organisations and startup support programmes, as concerns over cryptocurrency-related security incidents continue to grow.
The company's latest research recorded approximately $8.02 million in losses across four UAE-linked security incidents during 2026. CertiK identified five incidents involving businesses registered in the UAE or attacks originating from the country, although the financial impact of one case has not yet been established.
The figures highlight the importance of stronger cybersecurity measures as the UAE develops its position as a regional centre for cryptocurrency, blockchain and digital-asset businesses.
CertiK strengthens its Dubai operations
As part of its regional expansion, CertiK is developing its partnerships and increasing its team presence in Dubai. Its activities include working with digital-asset companies and institutions to improve security standards, compliance procedures and operational safeguards.
The company's approach focuses on helping businesses identify potential vulnerabilities, reduce exposure to cyberattacks and build more reliable systems for managing digital assets.
CertiK's expansion comes as demand for specialist blockchain security services increases alongside the growth of the UAE's digital-finance industry.
Abu Dhabi startups receive security and compliance support
CertiK has also established a partnership with Hub71, Abu Dhabi's technology ecosystem, where it serves as an official vendor.
Through this arrangement, eligible startups operating within the Hub71 ecosystem and based in Abu Dhabi Global Market can access discounted cybersecurity services. They can also receive complimentary access to CertiK Compliance, a platform designed to support regulatory preparation and ongoing compliance requirements.
The initiative is intended to help emerging digital-asset companies address security and regulatory considerations earlier in their development. It may also support businesses preparing for licensing processes and operating within the UAE's regulated financial environment.
Gate Dubai partnership focuses on reserve transparency
Another part of CertiK's UAE engagement involves its work with Gate Dubai.
The company's reserve verification process for Gate Dubai reported coverage of at least 100% across 10 digital assets. Such verification is intended to provide greater transparency into whether an exchange holds sufficient reserves against relevant customer asset balances.
Reserve transparency has become an important consideration for cryptocurrency platforms, particularly following incidents that have raised questions about exchange security and the protection of customer funds.
UAE crypto industry faces growing security demands
CertiK's reported figures point to the continuing cybersecurity challenges facing the UAE-linked digital-asset sector. However, the documented losses should not be viewed as a complete measure of all crypto-related security incidents in the country, as reporting gaps and difficulties in identifying the parties responsible may affect the available data.
As more companies establish operations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance and asset protection are becoming increasingly important parts of the industry's development.
CertiK's expanding local partnerships reflect the growing role of specialist security providers in supporting the UAE's digital-asset ecosystem. For startups, exchanges and other blockchain businesses, maintaining strong security practices will remain essential to building customer confidence and supporting sustainable growth.
