Strategic agreement will explore private capital, global expertise and new investment opportunities across Abu Dhabi’s major infrastructure programme

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 8 October 2026: The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) has entered into a strategic partnership with real assets investment manager PATRIZIA to explore new “fresh opportunities to support infrastructure development and investment across the emirate.”

The agreement was signed during the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS) International Roadshow at EXPO REAL 2026 in Munich. ADPIC Director General His Excellency Eng. Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid and PATRIZIA Senior Executive Officer for MENA Hassan Awada signed the partnership on behalf of the two organisations.

The collaboration is intended to create a platform for both sides to share expertise, examine potential investment opportunities and consider how private-sector capital could contribute to Abu Dhabi’s growing infrastructure pipeline.

Partnership targets private-sector participation

Under the agreement, ADPIC and PATRIZIA will examine potential public-private partnership models, infrastructure financing approaches and international practices that could support the delivery of major projects.

The organisations will also exchange market intelligence and technical knowledge, conduct benchmarking and explore opportunities for investment and co-investment connected to Abu Dhabi’s capital projects.

“ADPIC oversees Abu Dhabi’s extensive capital development pipeline, comprising roughly 500 projects with a total value of more than AED 200 billion. The portfolio covers a broad range of sectors, including residential development, transport, education, culture, social facilities and essential urban infrastructure aimed at supporting Abu Dhabi’s future growth.”

Abu Dhabi seeks stronger international infrastructure links

The partnership comes as Abu Dhabi continues to strengthen connections with international investors, infrastructure specialists and institutional partners.

The ADIS International Roadshow is designed to showcase Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure opportunities internationally while creating greater engagement with investors and organisations across Germany and Europe.

Through the new agreement, PATRIZIA and ADPIC will assess areas where international experience, specialist capabilities and private investment could contribute to infrastructure delivery and long-term value creation in the emirate.

H.E. Eng. Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid, Director General of ADPIC, said the emirate’s infrastructure ambitions require international partners with experience, market knowledge and a long-term approach.

He added that the partnership with PATRIZIA will allow both organisations to examine ways of encouraging private-sector involvement, improving project delivery and generating sustainable long-term value.

PATRIZIA strengthens its Abu Dhabi presence

PATRIZIA has maintained relationships with institutional investors and partners in Abu Dhabi for around 15 years. TPATRIZIA’s establishment of a permanent presence in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) marks another step in expanding its activities across the region

PATRIZIA CEO Asoka Wöhrmann said Abu Dhabi has become an increasingly important destination for long-term infrastructure and investment activity.

According to Wöhrmann, the company’s longstanding relationships in the emirate have given it direct insight into the scale of Abu Dhabi’s development plans and the potential contribution of international expertise and private capital.

Focus on infrastructure and real assets

Hassan Awada, Senior Executive Officer, MENA at PATRIZIA, said Abu Dhabi is emerging as a significant market for infrastructure and real assets investment, supported by a substantial project pipeline and efforts to attract international expertise and capital.

He said the partnership with ADPIC will enable PATRIZIA to work more closely with the emirate on its infrastructure priorities and assess how the company’s international investment capabilities can contribute to Abu Dhabi’s long-term development objectives.

The agreement forms part of PATRIZIA’s broader strategy of using its global real assets platform to expand selectively in markets where it has established relationships and relevant investment expertise.

For Abu Dhabi, the partnership adds another international investment manager to its efforts to broaden participation in infrastructure development and support the delivery of major projects across the emirate.
