Wynn Al Marjan Island Construction Advances Ahead of Ras Al Khaimah’s 2027 Opening

New waterfront views reveal the scale of the $5.7 billion resort as work progresses on its landmark tower, luxury accommodation and leisure facilities

Wynn Al Marjan Island is continuing to take shape along the Ras Al Khaimah coastline, with its prominent hotel tower becoming an increasingly visible feature of the emirate’s waterfront.

Recent photographs captured from the sea provide an updated view of the development, highlighting progress on the tower’s exterior and the surrounding resort buildings. The structure’s bronze-toned façade stands out against the Arabian Gulf, while extensive lower-rise buildings extend along the shoreline.

Wynn Al Marjan Island targets September 2027 opening

The integrated resort is scheduled to open to guests in September 2027, according to the timeline confirmed by Wynn Resorts in August.

The 70-storey hotel tower reached its highest structural concrete level in December 2025. Including its distinctive spire, the building is planned to reach approximately 352 metres, making it the tallest structure in Ras Al Khaimah.

Construction activity has since focused on the external façade, interior finishing and the development of supporting hospitality facilities.

The project’s estimated investment has increased to approximately $5.7 billion, following an additional $600 million in costs. The increase has been attributed partly to regional disruptions, rising construction expenses and supply-chain challenges.

Wynn Resorts owns a 40% stake in the joint venture responsible for developing the resort.

Luxury accommodation and entertainment facilities planned

Once completed, Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to feature 1,530 rooms and suites, alongside 22 restaurants, bars and lounges. Planned attractions also include a theatre, high-end retail outlets, swimming pools, a spa and extensive beachfront amenities.

The resort is also set to include the UAE’s first licensed commercial gaming facility. Wynn received the country’s first commercial gaming licence in October 2024.

These facilities are intended to establish the development as a major destination for hospitality, leisure and entertainment in Ras Al Khaimah.

Marina and beachfront add to the development

Wynn recently shared further details of its planned marina, which will feature 98 berths and accommodate superyachts measuring up to 85 metres. The marina is designed to provide direct access to the resort.

The wider development will also include a 550-metre beachfront, sheltered swimming areas and an engineered offshore reef.

As construction progresses towards the planned 2027 opening, Wynn Al Marjan Island remains a significant hospitality investment for Ras Al Khaimah, adding a large-scale resort development to the emirate’s growing tourism and leisure offering.
